The Tardis has landed…
I’m an Anglican Parish Priest, and I’m autistic. Yes, I know, those aren’t two statements you often hear together in one sentence. (Goodness only knows why, because if you know anything about Autism and anything about Church of England clergy…. But anyway….)
This blog might become A Thing, and then again it might just fizzle and die, because getting enthusiastic about something and then going cold on it is, apparently, something that women on the Spectrum do.
In the meantime, I might be writing about Theology, Autism, and some of the joys and challenges that go along with being Bigger On The Inside. Or, you know, any of that other rubbish that goes around in my head. There’s quite a lot of that.
A word about comments
This is intended to be safe space for everyone, but especially for autistic people (and both of those categories include me too).
Comments are great. Interaction and discussion and lively debate are great too. Things that aren’t so great include sexism, racism, homophobia, ableism and personal attacks.
I’m also really not interested in long diatribes detailing why (a) I’m stupid because I believe in God, or (b) I’m going to hell because I don’t believe in your version of God. You’re entitled to your opinion, but not to go on about it on my blog. Start your own.
You are warmly invited to post whatever questions and comments you like, in whatever level of language you choose (as in: it’s fine, I swear a lot too). But be warned: Hate speech, or anything which I deem unsafe or unacceptable, will be (as the Cybermen might say) deleted.
